IRONMAN 70.3 St. Petersburg will take place in the beautiful architectural landscape of St. Petersburg. One of the world's most recognizable destinations, few major cities boast as many sightseeing attractions, monuments, palaces and estates, gardens and parks, museums, drama and music theatres as St. Petersburg.
The one-loop 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim course will be held in the Rowing channel where fans, friends and families will be able to watch the athletes from a very short distance. Be ready for good crowds and a fast swim!
The two-loop 90 km (56 mile) bike course will begin with the rise on Yacht bridgeKeep Reading and then continues to lake Lahtinskiy Razliv. The most beautiful part of the bike course is at St. Petersburg sea-wall and its fortifications laid by Tsar Peter I.
The three-loop 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run course is on unpaved yet flat and fast roads of the Krestovskiy and Elagin Islands parks. Trees around the course will allow for some shade which is also true for the finish line.
