About The Wissahickon Trail Classic 10K
The Wissahickon Trail Classic 10K is a Running race in Harrison City, Pennsylvania consisting of a 10K Trail Run and 5K.
The Annual Wissahickon Trail Classic is a fundraiser for WRV. It is an exciting 10k run or 5k scenic and educational walk. The event is expected to grow in numbers and this year we are asking race participants and volunteers to car pool when possible--more parking spaces and less carbon emission-- everyone wins! The 10k course will be the same as in recent years. Runners will start on Forbidden Trail (gravel) alongside the Wissahickon Creek before they head into the woods on a single-track trail.
After first exploring the upper trails on the West side of the creek, runners drop down and cross to the East side of theKeep Reading park before returning via a covered bridge to the Forbidden Drive to endure one final hill before heading for the finish.
