About The Alaska Splash n' Dash #2
The Alaska Splash n' Dash #2 is a Triathlon race in Anchorage, Alaska consisting of a Ironman and Sprint, and Aquabike race consisting of a Half Ironman and Olympic
Mission: To get more kids to become involved in the sport of triathlon in the state of Alaska by providing inclusive, fun races for kids ages 5-19 from beginners through the competitive level.
Race Description: The aquathlon (swim/run) will start with a swim in Service High School Pool followed by a run on a mixture of dirt ski trails and pavement. RACE SPONSOR! A portion of the proceeds from the Splash n' Dash Series will go towards The Basics Alaska. The Basics mission is to advocate and support children in need of shoes and winter clothing, which would enable healthy, safe, active lifestyles in school, sports, and recreational setting. LaunchingKeep Reading the newly formed non-profit began during the fall of 2012, focusing on the needs of the Children in Transition program with the Anchorage School District, serving over 3,800 students. The goal of The Basics is to expand statewide within Alaska.
