Pump N' Run - Morgantown, West Virginia - Running

The Pump N' Run is a Running race in Morgantown, West Virginia consisting of a 5K.

The West Virginia University Exercise Physiology Club is coordinating a heart healthy event called the PUMP 'N' RUN. It will take place at the WVU Student Recreation Center on the Evansdale Campus. This is the only event of its kind in the tri-state area and it is seeking out the ultimate athlete by testing strength as well as endurance. Participants will bench press a percentage of their body weight and then participate in a 5K run. For every repetition of the bench press ("pump") performed, 30 seconds will be taken off of the total run time. The PUMP 'N' RUN is a fun and unique activity that promotes many aspects of a healthy lifestyle... and it's for a good cause. All proceeds of the event will benefit the American Red Cross.

We will have several categories in the event. Individual (categorized by age group one person lifts and runs) Pair (1 lifter 1 runner) Team (5 Runners and 5 Lifters)
