The Melissa Ridge Race is a Running race in Melissa, Texas consisting of a 1 Mile and 5K Novelty Run.

The Melissa Ridge Race is organized by the Melissa Ridge Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) as a means to raise funds for our students in 4th through 8th grade. These funds will purchase much-needed educational items not provided for in the school district's budget.

Melissa has undergone tremendous growth in recent years and with the establishment of an Intermediate/Middle School campus in 2009, often referred to as "The Ridge", the time was right to create a support group dedicated to serve the unique needs of students in 5th through 8th grade, as well as the needs of their educators and administrators.

The Melissa Ridge PTSO holds a 501(c)(3) designationKeep Reading from the IRS and all donations are tax-deductible.

We are excited to bring this opportunity for runners all over the Metroplex to enjoy our fresh country air and rolling hills - something cyclists have been doing for years!
