I wanted a fun race for my first marathon, and Chicago was just that! The course is flat and fast, and goes through some of the most iconic parts of the city. The entire course is lined with people cheering you on! The volunteers are amazing, the weather was amazing, and

Feel good, positive, supportive group of women at this race. It was well organized and even a beginner could easily navigate the when, where and how of a Tri. The Syracuse area is a great place to visit in the summer. Lots to do on a weekend visit.

The race benefits the Alternative House of Lowell, an agency dedicated to help victims of domestic violence.

Price for 5K or 10K is very reasonable, you get a very nice T-Shirt if you are one of the first 500 to register and everybody gets a frozen apple pie at the end.
