About The PHL 5K
The PHL 5K is a Running race in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania consisting of a 5K.
Join us for the annual PHL 5K Run/Walk! This event is hosted by Philadelphia International Airport and sponsored by American Airlines. This is a charity event that will support Habitat for Humanity and Eastwick Friends & Neighbors Coalition. Participants will get to experience running on an "actual runway" used by commercial aircrafts. Along the course you will get to see commercial and general aviation aircraft taking off and landing (on different runways!) and you will see a display of Airport equipment such as Fire Apparatus, various types of snow removal equipment and airline ground support equipment. This is truly a once in a life time opportunity!
In additionKeep Reading to supporting worthy causes, participants will receive a moisture wicking PHL5K Run shirt, along with post nutrition food and beverages.
Award medals will be given to the top three male and top three female RUN finisher and NEW for 2019, AGE GROUP AWARDS! We will have the following age group awards for the top three male and female RUN finishers in the following category:
12 and under
19 and under
20-29
30-39
40-49
40-59
60-69
70-79
80 and over
Note: All kids 12 and under will receive a pair of American Eagle or American Airline Wings to help them FLY around the course!
