My first half marathon. Gorgeous New England woodland scenery. Not much of an expo or anything beforehand (at least, not in 2015) but fantastic Smuttynose beer afterwards. I might have had one or three while waiting for my wife to finish the marathon.

The organizers described the course as "gentle, rolling hills", but it was a very difficult course. Worse than the hills, much of the course was on concrete. Distance running on concrete is very difficult. I hope the race can survive, but it isn't likely without a change to

If you ever wanted to feel rebellious and free ride your bike on the freeway! Of course it was shut down to motor vehicles but wow what an experience. The organizers make the finish area like the tour de france with a finish chute and live bands.
