About The Running Thru History
The Running Thru History is a Running race in Andersonville, Georgia consisting of a 5K.
The Running Through History 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Andersonville National Historic Site is an annual event to benefit the Macon County Recreation Department and the National Historic Site. The inaugural event was in 2014 and was termed a tremendous success. The goals were to raise money to support youth recreation and provide exposure to Macon County and the National Historic Site. The event raised more than $16,000 in sponsorships and registrations and they net proceeds were donated to the Recreation Department and the Friends of Andersonville.
