The Under The Moon 5K is a Running race in North Port, Florida consisting of a 5K.

Imagine a beautiful moonlit night, at The Woodlands, in North Port, where the only sounds you hear are the frogs calling in the night. The rustling of the brush as wildlife forages in the woods. The splash of the occasional jumping fish or the undeniable sound of a gator sliding off the bank into the water. You turn your light toward the darkness, green eyes catch the light and glow as they stare back at you. Is it a deer, a hog maybe a bobcat. You hear your feet hitting the pavement. You hear your heart rate increase. Is it becauseKeep Reading you are running? You know you are perfectly safe as you make your way down our paved 5K course and realize you have never felt so alive while in a race. All your senses are tingling as your mind imagines the wonders all around you that make Woodlands the beautiful place it is.
As you see the lights of the finish line ahead, the sounds of dance music start to replace the sounds of the wild. You smell the aroma of the excellent party food. The thought of a cold beer pushes you on, and you realize that this is going to be a fantastic night with great friends! Like we said. Come for the race. Stay for the party!

It's a timed 5K race a a Custom Medal for every finisher.

Come in a lighted costume of any kind and be entered to win the Moon Over Myakka Custom Corn Hole Set!

Food will be excellent. Hamburgers and fresh hot French Fries!
The After Party will feature Group Karaoke, Corn Hole, Great Food, Ice Cold Beer, Hard Ciderand non-alcoholic beverages. All with great friends and a ton of fun! Age Group Awards will go 3 deep.

Although we are not restricting kids of any age, it is more of an adult event! It is up to you to decide if you want to bring your kids. Make it a date night!
