Skeetawk Snowshoe Challenge - Palmer, Alaska - Running

The Skeetawk Snowshoe Challenge is a Running race in Palmer, Alaska consisting of a 5K.

This is a fun snowshoe challenge that happens twice throughout the winter season at the new Skeetawk Ski Area near Hatcher Pass! Stay Active this winter and join us January and February. The February snowshoe race will be a USSSA qualifier! The course will be loop style, finishing where you start, beginning at the base chair of ski hill area and continuing up through the groomed snowpack mountain area. Painted wooden stakes with directional insignia will mark the course. . Runners ascend 1.5 miles over 600 vertical feet then traverse across mountain before descending back to base area. Course will be a mix of groomed hard pack and singletrack deep snow, cutting in and out of alder patches and switchbacking across ski hill..
