This race was very HOT. Granted you can't control the weather, but the flat roads and lack of shade made things interesting out there. The roads overall were nice and well maintained. Organization was adequate. Water was really warm, wetsuits almost weren't allowed. Overall decent race,

This was the 18th year of the Second Empire 5K Classic. They started supporting Trinity Academy 6 years ago and this has developed into an incredible event where they have combined their school Spring Fling with the 5K, One Mile Fun Run and Kids Dash to make a full and

Obviously you run the risk of freezing your tail off but thankfully the course they have is through nice and quiet streets with small hills. The fact you can stay inside the gym before and race the race if it's real cold helps alot.

Would run this race again.
