The The CCAP Breakaway Benefit Ride is a Cycling race in Bolton, Connecticut consisting of a Recreational Event - 20 Miles and Road Race and 3-12 Miles and 40 Miles and 62 Miles.
The Breakaway Benefit Ride is the cornerstone fundraiser for the Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program (CCAP) and provides hundreds of kids with access to cycling and cycling teams all across the state. The CCAP started in 2013 and has grown to be a national leader in the development of school and municipality-based youth cycling programs. Today, 549 youth riders participate across 47 teams in mountain biking, road cycling, and cyclocross. Additionally, 40 youth race events and 90 skills clinics are hosted annually by the CCAP.
