Scenic race in a beautiful corner of Connecticut
The Litchfield Hills Road Race is ideal if you're looking for a small-town run and are in Connecticut during the summer. It's an institution in the town of Litchfield, and race organizers realize that: they plan an entire weekend around the road race, including a craft fair and a block party.

This race had good timing, water and that is about it. The course in my for me or anyone that likes a 5K race. Too many turns and not marked well at all.
The metal was a little piece of wood that is about 1.5 inches.

Tough but beautiful course
In 2021 the water was surprisingly warm (62F!) which made for a great swim in a wetsuit. The marine layer was thick but we were able to sight the next buoy and the course was patrolled by Cal Fire lifeguards, which was reassuring. The bike is harder than it looks! It's
