The American Triple T is a Triathlon race in Lore City, Ohio consisting of a Super Sprint and Sprint and Olympic and Half Ironman.
The American Triple-T is a 3-day celebration of triathlon, racing, comradery and outdoor adventure. Nestled in the stunning landscape of Salt Fork State Park featuring forested hills, open meadows, and misty valleys decorated with winding streams the American Triple-T offers a series of races that will challenge whether you are a seasoned veteran or doing your first race.
With a family-friendly atmosphere and races for all ages and abilities, you'll find yourself hanging around the whole weekend. Salt Fork Lodge, cabin area, and a large, well-kept campground are the final component of the equation for the ultimate multisport festival. We hope you will join us!
RACE #1 a" SUPER SPRINT
250y Swim :: 4 mile Bike :: 1mi Run
The American Triple-T Ohio starts everything off with the SUPER SPRINT. This short race will be the first opportunity for participants to see what they are truly in for. The swim starts off in time-trial format with participants going off every 1-3 seconds on a spectator friendly 250 yard rectangle swim course off the boat ramp area at Salt Fork Lake. Participants will then mount their bike for a quick 4 mile out and back bike course on roads within the park. After completing the bike course participants will take on a flat 1 mile run.
RACE #2: OLYMPIC AM (XT) AND SPRINT AM (ST)

Sprint a" A½ mi Swim :: 12.4mi Bike :: 3.1mi Run
Saturday morning starts off with the American Triple-T Ohio race number 2 a" the OLYMPIC AM and Sprint AM. The swim starts off in time-trial format with participants going off every 1-3 seconds on a one-lap (ST) or two-lap (XT) counterclockwise rectangle swim course along the shoreline of Salt Fork Lake. Participants will then mount their bike for a challenging bike course that will challenge all ability levels. Participants will tackle challenging terrain surrounding the lake on newly paved roads within the park. After completing this challenging bike course, participants will take on a run on the beautiful gently rolling paved path within the park. XT 2-Laps, ST 1-Lap.
RACE #3 a" OLYMPIC PM (XT) AND SPRINT PM (ST)

Sprint a" 12.4mi Bike :: A½ mi Swim :: 3.1mi Run
After a few hours of rest, the American Triple-T Ohio race number 3 gets started at 3:00pm on Saturday. This uniquely formatted triathlon starts with the bike first. Starting in a time-trial format on the bike, this challenging course is a repeat of the morning bike course. Participants will tackle challenging terrain surrounding the lake on newly paved roads within the park. After completing this challenging bike course participants will take on a swim on a one-lap (ST) or two-lap (XT) counterclockwise rectangle swim course along the shoreline of Salt Fork Lake. After completing the swim, participants will take on a run on the beautiful gently rolling paved path within the park. XT 2-Laps, ST 1-Lap.
RACE #4 a" HALF IRON (XT) AND OLYMPIC (ST)
Half Iron a" 1.2mi Swim :: 56mi Bike :: 13.1mi Run
Olympic a" .62 mi Swim :: 28mi Bike :: 6.55mi Run
Sunday morning arrives, and participants must now summon enough strength to take on what is easily the one of the toughest courses known to man. You will experience what participants refer to as the aTriple-T Shufflea, like the Ironman shuffle but worse! This will be the day you will not soon forget. It starts off with a one-lap (ST) or two-lap (XT) swim on a counterclockwise rectangle swim course along the shoreline of Salt Fork Lake. Next up is a very challenging bike course with over 4000' of total climbing (XT) and 1500' for the ST. These courses will challenge ALL ability levels. After finishing the bike course participants will take on the run course on rolling roads within the park.
