Proud to TRI - Waterford, Connecticut - Triathlon

The Proud to TRI is a Triathlon race in Waterford, Connecticut consisting of a Youth/Kids.

All levels welcome. This is a family friendly event followed by a brunch on the lawn for all race families. Bring a blanket and/or chairs. Children can discover what it is like to have fun competing in a triathlon event. Event will be timed by Time to TRI using RFID timing chips. Every child receives a medal at the finish line and trophies will be given to the top two finishers (male and female) in each age division. This event will mark the third event in our Triple Crown series. Every child who particpated in all three events will receive a special award at the awards ceremony immediately following the race at the pavillion.

Ages 5-6 yrs old 50 yard swim 1 mile bike .5 mile run

Ages 7-8 yrs old 100 yard swim 2 mile bike .75 mile run

Ages 9-10 yrs old 100 yard swim 2 mile bike .75 mile run

Ages 11-13 yrs old 200 yard swim 3 mile bike 1.5 mile run

Ages 14-17 yrs old 200 yard swim 3 mile bike 1.5 mile run

Lifejackets can be worn in the water. Training wheels can be used. This event is for all ability levels. We will have first time triathletes as well as athletes that have raced in over 20+ races.
