Located 20km from the cultural center of Athens, the trip to IRONMAN 70.3 Vouliagmeni, Greece offers the opportunity to indulge in the historic treasures of Athens, surrender to the glamorous seaside surroundings of Vouliagmeni, relish the taste of Mediterranean localities and enjoy the luxury of the most popular destination of the Attica region. Register for a swimming experience in crystal clear bay serene waters, a biking challenge in a rolling coastal breathtaking course, viewing the Ancient Temple of Poseidon, a running course towards the spectacular Lake Vouliagmeni, a real treasure of the Greek nature, with yearly warm waters and healing properties.

Swim
A single 1.9 km (1.2 miles) lap in the calm and warm waters of the protected Vari Bay in the Athenian Riviera that starts and ends at the sandy Varkiza beach. Athletes will swim a counter clockwise rectangular course close to the shore and transition is located a mere 15 meters from the swim exit. The sea depth never exceeds 8 meters and athletes will have a clear view of the seabed at all times.

Bike
The two-loop 90.1 km ( 56 miles) bike course takes athletes along the picturesque coastline between Varkiza and Anavissos. One of the most famous athenian cycling routes, athletes can look forward to a fast course passing through stunning surroundings never losing sight of the sea before heading back to the Transition Area at Varkiza.

Run
The two-loop 21.1 km (13.1 miles) run course will take athletes from Varkiza towards the Lake of Vouliagmeni and features breathtaking coastal views always overlooking the Saronic Gulf. A challenging course with Aid Stations every 2,5 km allowing you to stay hydrated. Look out for the famous coves of Vouliagmeni and complete your race at the spectator friendly Finish Line.
