Tinman Triathlon - Morris, Minnesota - Triathlon

The Tinman Triathlon is a Triathlon race in Morris, Minnesota consisting of a Sprint.

The Tinman is a great way to get a start on your season. We offer both sprint and Olympic distances with a pool swim and moderately challenging bike and run courses.

The race begins with a swim in our 8-lane pool, then switches to a bike ride along County Road 10. The run passes along and through the scenic Pomme de Terre River valley and ends on the UMM track.

Stick around following the race to enjoy the awards ceremony and refreshments. We hope to see you there!

Swim
1100 or 450 yards (Olympic/sprint) in the P.E. Center pool (22/9 laps). Wetsuits allowed. Most swimmers will be sharing a lane with 1-3 others. Because of this, circle swimming is recommended. You will be placed with swimmers of a similar caliber.

Olympic distance race will begin at 9:00 a.m.; sprint triathletes to follow at 10:00.

Bike
A 19 or 12 mile out-and-back course along Highways 59 and 10. All participants are required to wear an ANSI/Snell approved cycling helmet.

Run
The 10k Olympic distance will run through Pomme de Terre Park, while the 5k will proceed up the Highway 329 hill and loop through the West Central Research and Outreach Center. Both courses will finish on the UMM track.
