Sound of Hope 5K - Riverton, Utah - Running

The Sound of Hope 5K is a Running race in Riverton, Utah consisting of a 5K.

On October 12th, 2019, Marshall Industries will host its second annual Sound of Hope 5K benefitting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Our state is facing an epidemic. Utah has one of the highest suicide rates in the United States. The fifth highest overall, actually. We know that more can be done to bring this number down and it starts with bringing the issue out into the open.

Everyone knows someone who struggles with suicidality, even if they arenat aware of it. We believe that if more people knew how they could help a struggling family member, neighbor, or friend, they would absolutely take action and suicide rates would drastically reduce.

Our goal is to shed more light on this sensitive issue and raise funds for an organization whose programs and research are helping so many. 100% of the funds raised from race registrations will go directly to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Last year, the Sound of Hope 5K brought in nearly 300 people and raised over $5500. This year, weare working to double that number.
