"Room for improvement"

First of all, there was a big tent set up for registration with a long line. It was not clear until you got to the table that one line was for pre-registration and the other for same-day registration. Would be helpful to have someone standing out there directing runners to the More... appropriate line.
Next, the race started late due to allowing late registration. Suggest cutting off registration 15-30 minutes before race time. This information can be posted on the website for the race. "We welcome same day registration until 7:45 so we can have a prompt start time"
Third: suggest announcing to all the runners at the start, "5k turn around will be at the first water table; look out for the 5k turnaround as 10k runners will not be turning around at that table." Furthermore, the person standing at that turnaround did not direct runners that they were actually AT the 5k turnaround. Several runners said the person standing there did not say anything. This bit of information is crucial.
Overall, really disappointed in how this race was managed. It was a beautiful morning and a great day for a race and I think with a few improvements can be great event for the community.
On a positive note, it was really great to see strollers and pets. This brings more people out and makes it a great family event.
