About The Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk
The Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk is a Running race in Sheboygan, Wisconsin consisting of a 5K.
Be a part of the Holiday Lights Hunger 5K Run/1 Mile Walk through Making Spirits Bright holiday lights display one week prior to its public grand opening! The course will offer a sneak peek of Making Spirits Bright in Evergreen Park. All money raised by this event will go to Sheboygan County Food Bank.
The 1 Mile Walk is not timed and is a family-friendly event. Beginning at 5:15 pm, all walkers (and registered runners who have already ran!) are free to roam the course until it closes at 7:00 pm. Strollers are welcome for either distance and children 12 and under register for FREE. Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, cookies,Keep Reading and a visit from Santa!
After Party and Award Ceremony: Don't let the fun-filled evening end! Take part in the after party and award ceremony just 1 mile from the course at 3 Sheeps Brewing's Taproom (1837 North Ave.). For every pint of beer purchased, $1 will be donated to Sheboygan County Food Bank. Food will be available for purchase from Fleck's Curbside Grill!
Age Groups and Awards: Special holiday ornaments will be awarded to 1st place Female and Male finishers in the following age groups: 13-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 69+. Top overall Female and Male will each receive an exclusive holiday ornament, plus a trolley ride pass for two through the holiday lights display aboard the warmth of the Making Spirits Bright trolley.
Timing: Chip timing will not be available this year, but timing will be recorded for all 5K runners as accurately as possible using a manual method. The 1 Mile walk will NOT be timed.
Packet Pickup: Each participant 13 and older will receive a long sleeve shirt, race bib, and goody bag. There will be the following two options at the Quarryview Center (3401 Calumet Dr.) for packet pickup:
Pre-race packet pickup: Friday, November 17 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
Race day packet pickup: Saturday, November 18 from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm
Course and Parking: Please be aware that Evergreen Park will be closed to all vehicles. Parking will be available at the Quarryview Center parking lot. The course will take place in Evergreen through the Making Spirits Bright holiday lights display. Evergreen will be accessed using a path that goes under Calumet Dr. from the Quarryview Center parking lot. Please note that NO DOGS are allowed in Evergreen Park.

Phones and Headphones for Music: Even though there will be speakers placed along a few points of the course to play the music synchronized with the light displays, participants are encouraged to bring phones (and headphones, if desired) with a downloaded radio app tuned to 89.1 FM for the best possible experience.
