The Freeze Your Half Off - Sunday is a Running race in Chattanooga, Tennessee consisting of a Half Marathon and Marathon and 1 Mile and 10K and 5K.

What's better than running by yourself? Running with a bunch of crazy fun people, that's what! Spend your Saturday morning and Sunday morning running or walking along the beautiful Tennessee River, with a bunch of the funnest runners you've ever met.

The course is basically completely flat, on a paved path that meanders by the Chickamauga Dam, behind the campus of Chattanooga State, passing playgrounds and restrooms with toilets that flush.

Yep, you read that right, toilets that flush and sinks with running water and soap. Is this a runner's dream or what?

You will pass the start/finish/aid station area multiple times throughout the race. This means you're welcome to leave a drop bag to access your own personal goodies and you can shed layers as you warm up. This is also a good place to reapply sunscreen, address any potential issues such as blisters, etc.

Both races are super low-key and non-competitive; we'd prefer to race you vs. you, not you vs. anyone else. This year, a double half marathon option is available; that's back-to-back half marathons. Some people call those marathons, but this event has always been Freeze Your HALF Off, and we just couldn't bear to change the name. There is a time limit of 8 hours for anyone doing one or both half marathons. As in, if you do a double half, you must be prepared to finish BOTH in 8 hours. There will be an optional 1 hour early start for double half marathoners, which then gives you up to 9 hours, because that's how math works.

To keep up with increasing costs to produce this race, the price did go up a little bit, but this still remains one of the best values in the racing world. Your registration fee includes entry into the race distance of your choosing, a mug medal (which will be pre-washed so you can fill it up with cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, or hot chocolate from the all-you-can-eat post-race buffet), and our usual aid station setup including Gatorade, water, Gu, and snacks.

Shirts are NOT included in your race fee. As is tradition with this race, shirts, tank tops, hoodies, and other swag are available for pre-purchase during registration.

We also accept donations of old shoes to be given to the homeless via the Community Kitchen.

As with any other race put on by any other company, registration fees and add-on fees are final and are not refundable or transferable for any reason. The races will go on rain, snow, or shine.
