Run to Read Half Marathon - Fairmont, West Virginia - Running

The Run to Read Half Marathon is a Running race in Fairmont, West Virginia consisting of a Half Marathon Trail Run.

Double out and back on 2 rail trails. The first trail, about 5 miles long, is paved & goes through the historic & restored Meredith Tunnel. The second trail is on crushed limestone & has a scenic view of the Monongahela River. The USATF certified course is ideal for a pr. Long sleeve tech shirts & Finisher medals to the first 400 finishers/registrants. Event benefits Literacy Volunteers of Marion County (LVMC), a United Way agency & a 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity. LVMC facilitates free one on one tutoring in a friendly, confidential setting. Tutoring is provided for both adults and children in reading, math & english as a second language (ESL).
