Join us for the 5th Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k & 5k, April 22 - 23, 2023! in Tucker County, West Virginia, in the heart of the Potomac Highlands. This road race takes place in one of the East Coast's most idyllic settings and is just a short drive to any outdoor activity you could want. The area is also home to two amazing and eclectic mountain towns full of arts and culture. So if you are looking for a new Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K to run and need a mountain vacation or a getaway for the day or weekend, we are the race for you!

For 2023 we will be offering all the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K on Saturday, April 22, and Sunday, April 23! We have reserved the entire Canaan Valley Resort for the weekend to create an Epic Destination Running Experience and will be announcing full weekend details on September 6th. You are welcome to come for the day, but we'd love it if you spent the weekend with us.

2023 Season Pass - New for 2023!!!

We will embrace our ski town culture and offer a Season Pass for the first time in 2023!

Unlimited Racing - The season pass gets you one registration to all of the Canaan Valley Running Company's Races the Canaan Valley Half Marathon(Conquer The Valley Challenge Included), Canaan Valley Trail Run, and the Moonlight on the Falls Marathon.

Swag - Includes standard giveaway swag for each event, plus Earlybird bonus swag. Season Pass Holders will also receive 15% Off any additional purchased swag items and swag packages.

Buddy Passes - 2 - 10% OFF discount codes for each race to share with friends.

Season Pass - All registrants will need to submit a headshot and will receive a Season Pass Id Card. (More details coming in October of 2022)

Only Valid for 2023 Races. Not valid for the remainder of the 2022 race season.

*** Participants can defer the entire Season Pass before Mar 15, 2022. Unfortunately, no single race deferrals are permitted with the Season Pass.

Swag
Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K - All participants in the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K will receive a Unisex Lightweight Longsleeve Hoodie and a finisher medal.

Conquer the Valley Challenge - All participants will receive a Unisex Lightweight Longsleve Hoodie, Finisher Medals for each event completed, and a Bonus Conquer the Valley finisher swag item to be announced on September 6.

Course Time Limit
Course Time Limit is 4 Hours for All Distances. All Runners must be finished by 11 am on Saturday, 4/30, and Sunday, 5/1.

Our destination Half Marathon, 10k & 5k, features the scenic brilliance of Tucker County, West Virginia. Above all is a place known for its endless outdoor opportunities. Furthermore, Canaan Valley is just miles from the rugged and beautiful backcountry of Dolly Sods and Canaan Mountain, the amazing vertical feet of Blackwater Falls State Park, and the luxury of Canaan Valley Resort. The neighboring towns of Davis and Thomas offer eclectic restaurants, multiple breweries, art galleries, and live entertainment. Fortunately, they are just miles from the racecourse and make the Canaan Valley Half Marathon and 10K the perfect runcation.
