The OAT Run is a Running race in Port Angeles, Washington consisting of a 12K and Half Marathon and 50K.
Olympic Adventure Trail (OAT) Run is a 50K, half marathon, and 12K trail race that traverses Kelly Ridge between the Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Upon finishing, runners are treated to hot food, beverages, and an OAT Run pint glass. This race sells out every year. Limit 130 runners per distance for the 12K and half marthon, 50 runners for the 50K.
OAT Run is for trail runners who enjoy lush green forests filled with moss and ferns, towering evergreens, and spring trailside flowers. Runners will get a stunning view of the Elwha River Valley as they run by the aLiving Rooma. And if this wasn't epic enough, get ready to eat, drink, and party with an amazing view of the Olympic Mountains. The folks at Extreme Sports Park provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and racers will get hot food and cold drinks, a toasty campfire, and door prizes (woot!)
This race is a friendly, community-based event, and a portion of race proceeds is donated to the Peninsula Trails Coalition and the Peninsula Chapter of the Back Country Horsemen of Washington, in appreciation for their countless hours of trail construction and maintenance on the North Olympic Peninsula.
12K OAT Run a Limited to 130 runners
The 12K event is just over 7 miles in length (not the official 7.45 distance) and has about 600 feet of elevation gain. There is a water/electrolyte station at mile 4, and at the finish. There are Sanicans at the start and finish, but not along the course.
Half Marathon OAT Run a Limited to 130 runners per wave
The half marathon event is just under 13 miles (not the official 13.1 miles) and has about 1300 feet of elevation gain. There is a water/electrolyte station at mile 6, mile 10, and at the finish. There are Sanicans at the start, mile 6, and at the finish.
Wave 1: Shuttle departs: 7:15 A.M. from Extreme Sports Park (shuttle id mandatory) Race Start: 8 A.M.
Wave 2: Shuttle departs: 8:45 A.M. from Extreme Sports Park (shuttle is mandatory) Race Start: 9:30 A.M.
50k OAT Run a Limited to 100 Runners a 8 hour time limit
The 50K event is an out-and-back course. The course is entirely singletrack trail and has approximately 4,500 feet cumulative elevation gain. There are water stations at miles 3.2, 7, 12, 15.5, 19, 24, and 27.8, some including snacks. Sanicans are located at miles 7 and 24.
