Capitol Peak Mega Fat Ass 50K - Olympia, Washington - Running

The Capitol Peak Mega Fat Ass 50K is a Running race in Olympia, Washington consisting of a 25K Trail Run and 50K.

It's that time of year when you just need to get out and run up a mountain in cold and wet conditions.. This year, the Capitol Peaks Mega Fat Ass is an Olytrailrunners Race. We are returning to the old course and the old low key approach that makes this Fat Ass so much fun! The Capitol Peak MegaFatAss has two distance options, 17miles or 34 miles.That is, either one or two loops of our course up to the peak. Since this is a Fat Ass, there is no aid stations except some water, no awards, or T shirts! You will need to be self supported, so no WHINING! There will be post race soup provided that you bring a can of Chicken Noddle Soup or a box of Butter Nut Squash soup to throw in the pot! The Capitol Peak Mega Fat Ass is a fundraiser for the Friends of Capitol Forest, the group that maintains these great trails we run on. And we also donate to the South Sound Mobile Search and Rescue, so you know your race fee is going to a good cause! If you like, we'll also be taking additional donations on race-day.
