The New Years Day 5K is a Running race in Newport News, Virginia consisting of a 5K.


Peninsula Track Club presents the New Year's Day 5K. The course is run through scenic Newport News Park. It is fast and nearly flat. Runners and walkers welcome.

In addition to the usual swag, the race comes with a bonus:
Entry includes one-year membership in Peninsula Track Club, whose benefits include On Your Mark newsletter, discounts on running gear at area retailers, membership in Road Runners Clubs of America, and eligibility for the PTC college scholarship application.

BONUS for current PTC members:
Members in good standing will receive an automatic extension of their family membership for one year. Individual members will receive an additional 15 months.
