The North Texas Ultra is a Running race in Jacksboro, Texas consisting of a 52 Miles (Ultra) and 100K and 50K and 25K and 10K.
The North Texas Ultra is a 10K, 25K, 50K, 52 Miler, and 100K run held on Fort Richardson State Park's Trailway in the foothills of North Texas. Featuring an open, scenic, historical, and paved with soft fine gravel. The race follows a 15.5-mile out & back course beginning and ending at the North Park Unit.
Race Overview
- Surface: Soft fine gravel, open trail.
- Course: Lost Creek Reservoir State Trailway
- Elevation: Relatively flat with gains and loss of 690ft every 15.5M loop.
- Location: Fort Richardson State Park - North Park Unit
- Cupless Race: Please make sure to bring your own water-carrying system! We don't serve cups.
- Pacers: Pacers are allowed on the last 2 loops of the 100K, last 2 loops of the 52M, and last loop of the 50K.
Texas Ultra Series
This series spans all across Texas. All the finisher medals from each race combine to make the State of Texas. Anyone who finishes all the races will receive a special wooden case for all the finisher medals. The Top 7 Males and Top 7 Females that run the farthest distance of a Texas Ultra race will qualify for the Big Texas Ultra 100K Championship near Austin TX for a chance to win the Big Texas Ultra Champion Title.
Race
100K Runners - Four loops
Runners will run a total of 62.14 miles. The elevation gain is around 2760ft of climbing and descending. Aid stations will be available every 3-5 miles per loop. 100K runners will run four 15.5 mile out n' backs. The top 7 males and top 7 females that finish the 100K distance will qualify for the Big Texas Ultra 100K Championship.
52M Runners - Three loops + One modified loop
Runners will run a total of 52.24 miles. The elevation gain is around 2333ft of climbing and descending. Aid stations will be available every 3-5 miles per loop. 52M runners will run three 15.5 mile out n' backs and finish with a 10K out n'back.
50K Runners - Two loops
Runners will run a total of 31.07 miles. The elevation gain is around 1380ft of climbing and descending. Aid stations will be available every 3-5 miles per loop. 100K runners will run two 15.5 mile out n' backs.

Runners will run a total of 15.53 miles. The elevation gain is around 690ft of climbing and descending. Aid stations will be available every 3-5 miles per loop. 100K runners will run one 15.5 mile out n' back.
