The Tcu Theta 5K is a Running race in Ft. Worth, Florida consisting of a 5K.
Each year the Gamma Psi chapter of KAO holds a 5K run in memory of Tracy Clark '93. It was Tracy's idea for a 5K that led to the first Breakaway in 1997. The event was named in her memory in 1999 following an automobile accident that claimed her life much too young. Last year, the chapter raised over $45,000 for CASA of Tarrant County.
In 1989, Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity adopted National CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, as the fraternity's official philanthropy. CASA volunteers are trained community volunteers who speak on behalf of abused and neglected children in the court system. Advocates provide valuable information to the judges
