The Little Falls Turkey Trot 5K is a Running race in Little Falls, New York consisting of a 5K.

Before you sit down to plates full of turkey and stuffing, come out to the Little Falls Turkey Trot! The course is a challenging 5k through our wonderful Moreland Park and charming downtown. Brought to you by Rock City Runners and the YMCA. $25 registration, children under 16 run for $5. Your entry fee will help support Little Falls Community Outreach:

The Little Falls Community Outreach grew out of a community project organized by the First Presbyterian Church in the summer of 1992. With $400 in donations and the cooperation of the school district employees and church volunteers, 57 backpacks were purchased, filled with school supplies and basic hygiene items, and distributed to the children of Little Falls who had severe needs at the start of the fall semester, thus giving them a 'fresh start'.
As work progressed on Project Fresh Start, it became apparent to those involved that with a broader-based community effort, more could be accomplished to meet the humanitarian needs of our city's children and families. To that end, a meeting was held at the First Presbyterian Church in the spring of 1993 for the purpose of identifying the community needs and establishing an organization to address them. With $19,000 in support from churches, local businesses, and civic clubs, LFCO was founded using as it's corporate motto the old African proverb: It takes a whole community to raise a child.
