Newstead 5K - South Orange, New Jersey - Running

The Newstead 5K is a Running race in South Orange, New Jersey consisting of a Kids Run/Fun Run and 5K.

Each September, hundreds of runners and walkers of all ages transform the quiet, woodsy Newstead neighborhood of South Orange into a leafy 5K race course to support Achieve's programs that benefit students in all 10 South Orange/Maplewood schools. Since 2002, the event has provided as much as $30,000 annually to enhance education and promote fitness and good health. The race, which is considered fast and features chip timing by Compuscore and a Fun Run for children, offers excellent sponsorship opportunities for businesses and families. It's a great way to raise vital funds for public education and welcome the start of a new school year.
