"A good run, great food and community feel"

Although the race has been run without major organizational improvements, it remains a very good local run, with a friendly vibe, great food and a reasonably challenging course. The local police are very friendly. Organizationally, the race is run without attention to many things most runners would find necessary: it's not More... usatf certified, awards always take far too long (everyone's time doesn't need to be read aloud, slowly) and get started late (one hour after the start is more than enough time to wait), and it's the same cotton t-shirt every year. Go for the challenging race (hilly but not mountainous) and friendly people.
