This event is a 5k race in which you can run, jog, or walk with any of your friends- human and four-legged! All dogs are welcome to join you! This year's theme is Superheroes and Sidekicks! So grab your running shoes, your friends (both furry and human), and your favorite costumes because this will be a race you do not want to miss! All proceeds will be donated to the Homeward Bound Project of MS. The Homeward Bound Project of MS is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization operating since 2007 in Starkville, MS. Homeward Bound is run entirely by volunteers, most of whom are attending or working at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. They work with shelters in Mississippi to transport adoptable dogs (and sometimes cats) to adoption guaranteed rescues in the Northeast, thereby giving them a chance at a better life.
