RISE Up & Run 5K Livestream Event - Mt. Pleasant, Michigan - Running

The RISE Up & Run 5K Livestream Event is a Running race in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan consisting of a 5K.

Join us Saturday, April 10 as we livestream on the R.I.S.E. Facebook during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This is part of RISE Up & Run 5K event hosted by R.I.S.E. Advocacy and McLaren Central Michigan.

Sexual assault is a prevalent issue and it's necessary to stay informed about community resources in addition to spreading the word. Various team members and community partners will speak throughout the day and we will have participants join us live! You can even complete your run on that day!

We will be going live three times throughout the day.
10 AM, The RISE Team:
- The RISE Sexual Assault Counselor and Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Coordinator will discuss resources available to survivors, their work, and the agency's response to sexual assault.
1 PM, Community Partners:
- McLaren Central Michigan will discuss their role in providing support to survivors during the sexual assault medical exams.
- Zonta Club of Mt Pleasant will join to explain their work in supporting survivors of violence and mission to empower women.
4 PM, Participants and Volunteers:
- A RISE Volunteer will explain her role and why she is passionate about the work she is doing with RISE.
- RISE Up & Run participants will join the livestream to discuss their dedication to the cause! Be sure to stick around if you'd like to join us during our chat.

You do not need to attend this event to register for the RISE Up & Run 5K. Registration is open now through April 30, 2021.
