The Josh Spalsbury Memorial Comet Chase 5K is a Running race in Grand Ledge, Michigan consisting of a Kids Run/Fun Run and 5K.

The Comet Chase 5k will be held in Grand Ledge, Michigan. The race begins at 8:30am from the First United Methodist Church in downtown Grand Ledge and travels through scenic Fitzgerald Park before returning to the church. A 1 mile run for youth 13 & under starts at 8:00am and the 400m Kids Race precedes the 5K at 8:15am. All proceeds go to benefit the Grand Ledge Education Foundation a 501(c)3 organization that works to provide extra funding for special projects within the Grand Ledge Public Schools classrooms.
