Girls on the Run 5k - East Lansing, Michigan - Running

The Girls on the Run 5k is a Running race in East Lansing, Michigan consisting of a 5K.

Join Girls on the Run as we complete our Spring season! Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. This event is open to the publicaall are welcome to join!

This event is unlike any other running event. It is a celebration of and for the girls who are completing their Girls on the Run programming. Positive energy abounds as the girls dance to warm-up music, get their hair done at the Happy Hair station, decor and bedazzle their own face masks, and take photos at the selfie station before gathering with their teammates at the starting line. We welcome all runners from our community to run with and cheer for our girls. You will be so glad you joined us! Let's celebrate being joyful, healthy, and confident!

Girls on the Run is a non-competitive after school running program that includes social emotional life skills and lessons for girls in grades 3rd-5th. Girls on the Run envisions a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams! This is made possible by AMAZING volunteer coaches that are there every step of the way for 8 weeks with their girls encouraging them and running along side them so they can confidently cross the finish line at their End of the Season 5k!

Girls in our program do NOT need to register for this event. They are already registered. GOTR girls will receive their shirts and bibs from team coaches the morning of the 5K.

All proceeds benefit Girls on the Run Mid Michigan.
