Chesterfield Gorge Ultra and 25k Race - Chesterfield, Massachusetts - Running

The Chesterfield Gorge Ultra and 25k Race is a Running race in Chesterfield, Massachusetts consisting of a 100 Mile Trail Run (Ultra) and 100K Trail Run (Ultra) and 25K Trail Run (Ultra) and 50 Mile Trail Run (Ultra) and 50K Trail Run (Ultra).

This is a 'chose your own adventure' style run. The race course starts at the Chesterfield Gorge Reservation, and is an out-and-back following the dirt road next to the river until Old Worthington Road where the turn-around aid station is located. The entire course is on a rolling jeep dirt road (with enough rocks to be interesting, but not enough to be technical trail running). There will be an aid station located halfway between the start/finish area and the turn-around aid station. Each aid station will have enthusiastic volunteers and standard aid station food/drink options.

Runners can do as much mileage as they want to within the 30-hour time limit by completing the following number of laps:

- 2 complete laps for the 50km race

- 3 complete laps plus a shorter out-and-back for the 50 mile race

- 4 complete laps for the 100km race

- 6 complete laps plus a shorter out-and-back for the 100 mile race

(Runners may chose to stop and get credit for any full lap completed.)

25k runners have 4 hours to do 1 full lap of the race (and can request an earlier start if they think they'll need more time...we'll already be there!).
