Annual event conducted by the Queen City Striders. Starting this year, the Great Allegany Run will be conducted in partnership between the Queen City Striders and RacePacket. Come run your fastest 15k ever! Nearly uniform elevation drop of 475 ft. Come run your fastest 15K ever. We get bused up to Mount Savage, Maryland, run down the mountain, gradual 450 foot descent, incredible course support, and then finish by the downtown Cumberland Mall. What a gem of a race. I talked with a guy who had last run it in 1989....and he said nothing much More...
It is a mostly downhill run, but not steep decent. It will be fast. Great course and well organized race. Probably the fastest 15k you will run. Great chance to PR.
