The Bridge the Gap is a Running race in Prospect, Maine consisting of a 10 Miles and 3 Miles.
Held annually since 2012, Bridge the Gap has quickly gained popularity as one of Eastern Maine's rites of spring!
In 2017 Crow Athletics became the newest caretakers of this important community event and changed the course slightly: both races continue the traditional start at Fort Knox in Prospect, crossing the stunning Penobscot Narrows Bridge. The 10-Miler now tours Verona Island from west to east, while the 5k was shortened to a 3-Miler, which now cuts across Verona Island and follows the scenic waterfront walkway. Both races finish on Main Street in the heart of downtown Bucksport!
