Run for Rescues 5K - Alton, Illinois - Running

The Run for Rescues 5K is a Running race in Alton, Illinois consisting of a 1 Mile and 5K.

A family & pet friendly event, with family activities, attendance prizes, bake sale, vendors, food vendors, best dressed dog contest & much more! Bring the family and come out a great time, watch some best-dressed dogs strut their stuff, meet some great folks, and help raise funds for a great cause!!!



This year's event theme is Howl-O-Ween; we encourage all participants (human & canine) to dress up for a chance to win a prize!! Be creative, inspiring, and safe in your chose of costume!



We are Hope, in most cases a dog's last Hope. Hope Rescues ALL breeds. We help the homeless, the injured and the sick. We absorb over $10,000.00 in vet bills nearly every month. For us it truly is ALL ABOUT THE DOGS. Hope has saved the lives of over 3000 dogs since 2005. The rescue raises money through grants and fundraising only.
