Museum of Aviation Foundation Marathon - Warner Robins, Georgia - Running

The Museum of Aviation Foundation Marathon is a Running race in Warner Robins, Georgia consisting of a Half Marathon and Marathon and 5K.

Annual Museum of Aviation Foundation Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5K Run/Walk was held at the Museum of Aviation. The races were sponsored by the Museum of Aviation Foundation and the Robins Pacers Running/Walking Club. The three races were ran on Robins Air Force Base next to the Museum of Aviation. The Marathon and Half-Marathon courses are certified and a Boston Marathon qualifier. Proceeds from the annual event benefit the Museum of Aviation, one of the largest education-focused aviation museums in the country. Runners who finished the Marathon and Half-Marathon received a three-dimensional antique pewter medal with a red-white-and-blue ribbon. The medal shows a Museum aircraft on one side with a place on the reverse side to engrave the runner's name, date and finishing time. The Marathon medals show an SR-71 'Blackbird' reconnaissance plane and the Half-Marathon medals show an F-15 'Eagle' fighter.
