Fischang-Cicchetti Memorial Run - Waterbury, Connecticut - Running

The Fischang-Cicchetti Memorial Run is a Running race in Waterbury, Connecticut consisting of a 5 Miles and 5K.

The race is five miles or optional 5 K course through Downtown Waterbury. The starting line is in between the Waterbury Green and the beautifully remodeled YMCA. (The YMCA's facilities are open to all runners on race day.)
The 5 mile course takes you partially around the green, up on to Grand Street, then down South Main Street, out East Main Street, past the Palace and Brass Mills Center through Hamilton Park and then looping back onto itself for a fast finish at the Waterbury Green. The 5 K course turnaround is on east Main street behind the mall.
The course has a few gradual uphill sections on the way out, but those turn into downhill sections on the way to the finish line. The net proceeds of your registration fee will be contributed to the Greater Waterbury YMCA Youth Scholarship Fund in memory of Al Fischang and Janice Cicchetti, who devoted a great deal of their time to the sport of running and the growth of this race.
