The Run the Rockies Trail Race is a Running race in Frisco, Colorado consisting of a Half Marathon and 10K Trail Run.
The Run the Rockies Trail 10k and Half Marathon will lead runners through the Frisco Peninsula trails with breathtaking views of Lake Dillon and the Ten Mile Range. This is a great course for a first time half-marathoner or runner looking for a fun course that offers single track and dirt road trails. Racers will start and finish at the Frisco Day Lodge; all racers will receive a piece of commemorative race gear and a post-race meal.
Trail 10k will start at 8:30am. Trail Half Marathon will start at 8:00am.
Half Marathon and 10k trail race packet/bib pick-up will also take place from 6:30am - 8:15am on the day of the race at the Frisco Nordic Center Lodge located at 616 Recreation Way, Frisco, CO.
RACER GIFT
All racers will receive a commemorative Run the Rockies racer gift and a finisher mug.

TIMING
Professional timing services will be provided by Maverick Sports. Races will be chip-timed. Races will have a 'gun start' and a 'chip finish.' What does this mean for you? The half marathon racers will all start at 8:00am when the race director says 'ready, set, go!' Your chip finish time will be taken as you cross under the trellis at the finish line. The 10k racers will all start at 8:30am when the race director says 'ready, set, go!' Your chip finish time will be taken as you cross under the trellis at the finish line. Chips will be attached to each race bib and do not need to be collected at the finish line
CUT OFF TIME
The cut off time for both the 10k and the half marathon is 12:00pm. Any racer not through the finish line by this time will not receive an official time.
AID STATIONS
There will be aid stations on course. Aid stations will have Gnarly drink mix, water, pretzels, m&m's, and more! Half Marathon Aid Stations will be located at miles 2.1, 5.3, 8.1 and 10.4. The 10k Aid Station will be located at mile 2.1. In an effort to keep our event as waste free as possible we ask that all racers carry a pack or handheld water bottle with them to refill at the aid stations.
AWARDS
Overall: The top 3 male/female runners in each race will receive a prize (overall winners are not eligible for age category prizes)
Age Category Winners: A prize will be given to the first place winner in each of the following age categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
All racers will receive a finisher gift.

Our preferred lodging sponsor for the Run the Rockies Trail Half Marathon and 10k is Baymont Inn & Suites. Call 970-668-5094 and mention you're racing in Run the Rockies and you'll receive a special rate of $89.99 for a standard room. This rate will only be honored over the phone and is only valid over the weekend of the race.
POST RACE PARTY
The post race party will take place at the Frisco Nordic Center Lodge. All racers will be asked to present their bib for a post-race meal. Meal includes pizza from Peppino's and everyone 21+ will receive a beer from Outer Range Brewing! We will have prizes to giveaway at the post race party as well.
TRAIL COURTESY
The races will take place on Town of Frisco/USFS trails; all of which are open to the public. Please leave strollers and pets at home for this race and be respectful of other users.
WALKERS
Anyone who would like to walk the race is highly encouraged to register for the 10k. Walkers are welcome to participant in the half marathon however, please note the 12:00pm cut off time listed above.
RACER RESPONSIBILITY
You are running this race at your own risk. You will encounter mountainous terrain. You could encounter hazardous weather or wildlife during this race. The race director reserves the right to cancel, delay or postpone the race due to inclement weather. There are no refunds available.
RUNNING WITH MUSIC
If you choose to wear headphones during the race, we ask that you remove one ear bud. It is important that all racers can hear what is going on around them. Racers must be respectful of other trail users.
