San Jose Trail Challenge - Saratoga, California - Running

The San Jose Trail Challenge is a Running race in Saratoga, California consisting of a 10K Trail Run and Half Marathon Trail Run and 50K Trail Run.

Sanborn County Park is home to well-groomed but steep and difficult trails, which makes for a challenging for runners of all abilities. Situated on the eastern slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains and home to giant coastal redwood groves, the park is shaded and relatively temperate even in the hotter months, making it a local favorite for hikers, runners, and mountain bikers. Racers can expect big climbs and descents with good footing on flowy singletrack trails through dense forest.

Classic trail running, no obstacles, many distances - from 10K, 10K Night, Half Marathon to 50K. Our trail races are held in some of the most picturesque, natural environments. Spartan also hosts the Spartan Trail World Championship, a multi-stop tour for all ability levels, and features some of trail running's most iconic events and athletes.
All Trail courses are separate from the obstacle race courses and have no obstacles, but share the same start and finish area in the festival.
