City Heights Runners 5k and Kids' Fun Run - San Diego, California - Running

The City Heights Runners 5k and Kids' Fun Run is a Running race in San Diego, California consisting of a 5K and 1 Mile Kids Run/Fun Run.

We are excited to host UrbanLife's 9th Annual City Heights Runners 5K and Kids' Fun Run on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at North Chollas Community Park. Our last event was just weeks before the pandemic lockdown in early 2020! We are excited to get back to promoting health, community spirit, and wholesome fun, while supporting our year-round youth physical development efforts in City Heights.

UrbanLife's Physical Development initiative, City Heights Runners, provides first time exposure to running and a team environment as a means to develop positive friendships and personal resilience and character, as well as to enhance the overall health and well-being of student-athletes in one of San Diego's most vulnerable communities. Come join us for a morning of wholesome fitness in a community environment and help us advance the lives of children in City Heights!

Here is how it works...

STEP 1: Register online today to run/walk on February 26, 2022 and invite your friends to join! Online registration closes at midnight on 2/25/2022.

STEP 2: Day of Race registration opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 8:15 AM.

STEP 3: Pick-up your race registration packet and t-shirt in front of the Baseball Field at North Chollas Community Park.

STEP 4: "On your marks, get set, go!"

Note: Parking will be available at Chollas Baseball Field, Gloria's Mesa on College Grove Drive and in the lot east of Chollas Lake.
