The Miles For Giles Veterans Memorial 5K is a Running race in Lemoore, California consisting of a 5K.

This race is to raise awareness, promote fitness, engage the community, and raise funds for the children of fallen Lemoore PD Corporal Jonathan Giles.

Miles for Giles Veterans Memorial 5K/3K is a tribute to fallen Lemoore PD Corporal Jonathan Giles. Corporal Giles was a Marine Corps veteran before becoming one of Lemoore's most loved and respected police officers. He began his law enforcement career with the Lemoore Police Department in 2013. During his tenure, Giles held special assignments such as Field Training Officer, Campus Police at West Hills College, Explorer Advisor, and even earned his spot on the Central Valley Regional SWAT team. Miles for Giles was created to honor fellow veterans, to engage the community that Giles loved to serve, and to inspire hope and contribute to the health and well-being of our law enforcement and military personnel. Suicide Prevention and Awareness literature will be available at the event. All proceeds of this event will be donated to Corporal Giles' children for their future college fund.

The Run takes place at Veterans Park.

Uniform Challenge: Officers will run in full duty gear (Uniform, bullet proof vest, gun belt and footwear)
