"Tips and Notes:
- you don't need to get there as early as they say
- mentally challenging to pass the halfway mark with others finishing - as with almost all half/full marathon races
- good crowd support in the beginning, a bit less on the second half
- work in hill training - not

I've run this race on July 4th a number of times and each year this event has improved. What did bug me was that there was no National Anthem played prior to the start of the race. Come on Guys it's the 4th of July. The birthday of this great nation.

This race had good timing, water and that is about it. The course in my for me or anyone that likes a 5K race. Too many turns and not marked well at all.

The metal was a little piece of wood that is about 1.5 inches.
