The swimming portion runs parallel to the beach and the waves are typically small so early in the morning.
The bike portion has a beautiful 11.1 mile course along the Lake Minnewaska and beautiful views and the run is 2.5 miles
out and back along the Lake and finishes by a soccer field.

As a first time race participant, I was appreciative of everyone being so helpful and friendly. The race was great, the tshirts and medals are nice momentos!

This was a really challenging course, but a really good one. I loved the hills and the support along the way. They did a good job with the wave starts and the finish line area was really smooth. There was time for running on a dirt road which had
