This is one of the oldest races in Vermont and has great history and character. It is mostly on dirt roads and there is a gradual uphill toward the turn around making the last half feel easier than the first half. Don't expect a lot of hoopla, but it is pleasant

This race was in a fairly common running route in San Diego - Mission Bay. It was fast and flat. I enjoyed the atmosphere and positive encouragement. Lots of young girls were running with their moms and I overheard a lot of women saying this was their first race, so I

Nothing super special about the race itself (although, it was wonderfully flat) but it was pretty cool as part of the Nebraska State Fair. You can basically run the race, take a shower (they offer free showers there), and then wander the state fair eating fried oreos and other fun
