The Superhero 5K is a Running race in New Orleans, Louisiana consisting of a 1K Walk and 5K.
IT WILL MAKE ITS WAY ALONG THE NEW LAFITTE GREENWAY, STARTING AND FINISHING ON N. JEFFERSON DAVIS PARKWAY AT BIENVILLE STREET.
Proceeds from the race benefit CASA New Orleans, a nonprofit that fights for the rights of abused and neglected children in St. Bernard and Orleans parishes.
Dressed in Superhero costumes, the runners will race a 5k course through the Lafitte Greenway, while children age 12 and under will race a 1k course down the Jefferson Davis Trail. Runners will compete to win prizes for best costume, best pet costume, and most money raised by a group or individual. There will be an after party following the race, and kid's activities
